She completed under graduate degree from Nirmalagiri College, and completed post-Graduation from CAS College Madayi with first Rank in Kannur University. B.Ed degree from Kannur University and secured UGC, NET. She completed research from Kannur University. She worked as Guest Lecturer in different colleges under Kannur University. She is the trainer of several competitive examinations. She had engaged in several co-curricular activities in the college. She was an NSS Programme officer from 2014 to 2017 and the co-coordinator of Red Ribbon Club. She participated National level Adventure camp in Himachal Pradesh.Now she is the co ordinator of NSS Advisory Committee, and a member of Student’s Grievance and Ethics Committee ,Tourism Committee, and Calendar Committee.FYUGP Department level coordinator, Department level NAAC Coordinator, Coordinator of college level counselling, Convener of University level Result and Evaluation committee. Dr. Shalima M C, Assistant Professor of History, PG Dept. of History, Co-op Arts and Science College, Madayi. She has completed post graduation in History with First Rank from the Department of History, Kannur University. She qualified UGC NET with JRF. During her doctoral studies, she also received Junior Research Fellowship of Kerala Council for Historical Research. Her PhD is on the topic Urbanisation of Kannur 1792-1947, under the guidance of Dr. C Balan, Professor, Dept. of History, Kannur University. Her area of specialisation is Economic and Social History of Malabar. Now she is one of the members of Board of Studies in History, Kannur University. She has published 10 plus research papers in national and international journals and books. And she also presented 10 plus research papers in international as well as national Conferences. She has 7 years of total teaching experience in P G Departments of reputed colleges and University Departments in Kannur. She also participated in the publication of Tri lingual Glossary in History, CSTT New Delhi and Kerala Bhasha Institute. He has completed his masters Degree in History from Union Christian CollegeAluva,Mahathama Gandhi University Kottayam. He has completed his Masters Degree in Public Administration and Social Work. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Education from N.S.S.College of EducationChanganachery, Mahathama Gandhi University Kottayam. He has completed his M.Phil in History from Vinayaka Missions University Salem. His thesis was on the topic“Towards Modernity : The Educational and Literary Activities of the Syrian Christians in Kerala 1800-1947” and awarded Ph.D. in 2019 from ManonmaniamSundaranar University Tirunelveli. Currently he is pursuing his M.B.A in Human Resource Management from Pondichery Central University. He works on Colonial Modernity, Social Empowerment and Modern Education. His areas of Specialisation are in the fields of Modern Kerala and the History of Syrian Christian Community. His area of interest spans to Pubic Administration, Social Work and management Studies also.
